It happened on Tuesday, Dec. 24, Westport Police said.
At about 5:10 p.m. on Christmas Eve, officers responded to a Westport residence on a threatening complaint.
The complainant alleged that Joseph Tatusko, 65, had made a verbal threat of a serious nature to the juvenile via telephone, according to police.
An investigation into the complaint was subsequently conducted and an arrest warrant was ultimately sought and granted for Tatusko in connection with the incident.
On the afternoon of Thursday, Dec. 26, Tatusko responded to police headquarters to turn himself in relative to the outstanding warrant. He was charged with second-degree threatening per the warrant. He was released after signing a written promise to appear in court.
He was arraigned on the charge at Norwalk Superior Court on Friday, Dec. 27.
